Description : Estancia El Cencerro is located at only an hour from downtown Buenos Aires (80 kms.). The principal characteristic of the estancia, we think, is our privacy and intimacy. We´ve only 3 rooms (SUITES), so that determines that our place is for small groups of people. You´ll be lodged in the principal house of our estancia, so you can enjoy not only your room, but the entire house, with its living and dining room. Our home has been preserved, as an authentic house in the argentine countryside, where each room has a fireplace, and where you´ll be able to experience life as in the estancias. The decoration is very warm, every room has a wonderful view of the park that surrounds the house, and invites all our guests to relaxing. We´ve lots of trees, some of them very ancient, like the magnolia of 150 years, just in the middle of the patio. It´s a wonderful place to have breakfast or lunch, just below its shade. There´s also a few small woods, specially near our small river, where you can just relax. As it´s a rural area, you´ll have a deep contact with all kind of natural life. Also, you can see or participate in some rural jobs like herd our cattle and sheep, riding our horses, in company of our gauchos. This work is done every day in the afternoon. Work with the sheeps and the horses. We have classes for beginners with our horses, where we teach the basic, and we make sure which horse adapts better to your skills. Our idea is that you enjoy being safe. Horses are something important for us. We love them, and are very proud of the whole group of them, because they´re not only beautiful, but also they´re so versatile, and flexible to adapt themselves from a beginner to an expert. If you´re somehow 'scared' of horse-back riding, we offer taking a ride on our sulky guided by one of our gauchos. Pick up eggs. Also we have ducks and chickens, very friendly, so you can feed them. We´ve a beautiful bunch of dogs. Hope you love them (it´s quite obvious that we´re dog lovers, isn't it?). OUR SERVICES INCLUDE: * LODGING * 4 DAILY MEALS: • BREAKFAST: With milk and butter from our cows, homemade jam and bread, fruits, cereals, squeezed orange juice, etc. • LUNCH: Meat barbecues in argentinian style for lunch, or farm chicken cooked in the same way, great variety of salads with fresh vegetables, etc. • DESSERT: Dulce de leche mousse or lemon mousse with toasted almonds, pancakes / crépes with dulce de leche, warm apple crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, Pavlova Cake (meringue, homemade whipped cream and strawberry), roasted fruits salad, etc. • TEA: With cakes and very typical pastries, homemade scones, Pasta Frola, homemade cornstarch alfajores with dulce de leche (traditional cookie, which consists of two round sweet biscuits joined together with dulce de leche caramel and covered with powder sugar), chocolate cake, tiramisú, strawberry / pineapple or peach pie, etc. • DINNER: With homemade pasta or other italian and arab specialities, parmiggiana eggplant, corn pudding, vegetables tart, homemade pizzas, etc. In case you´re vegetarian, please tell us in advance so we can prepare some special menu. Food is abundant and delicious. Everything is homemade. Food is an item we pay special attention. * THE USE OF ALL OUR FACILITIES: Swimming pool, Horses, Horse-back riding, Pony (small horse for kids), bikes, farm wagon 'sulky', ping pong, table soccer, volleyball court, football court, fishing in our small river, croquet, hammocks in the open air below shade of the trees, enjoying our farm animals with their families (pigs, sheeps, cows, bull, dogs, turkeys, ducks, chickens, hens, goose), and of course all the wild life and plants in our area. We organize great horsebackriding with our gauchos and also you can participate in rural activities. You can horse-back ride inside or outside the estancia all the time you want. * LCD TV 32' * DVD Player + Movies in the Suites * Wi-Fi * Drink Bar at the Barbecue place TRANSPORTATION: We do the pick ups personally, warmly welcoming you to start your journey with us passing through different places of the city and the suburbs, so it´s a kind of a big city tour all the way to the estancia. You just tell us the place and time you want. ACTIVITIES WITH AN EXTRA RATE: These activities aren't considered under the original daily rate. * AEROSTHATIC BALLOON Flying demands around 1 to 1 1/2 hours in total in all. You can participate in the preparation of the balloon, which is part of the show (it takes half an hour), and in the wrapping of it (another half hour), once your´re finished. The flight starts from the estancia´s ground. * GUIDED VISIT TO THE VILLAGE (CAPILLA DEL SEÑOR) Honestly, there´s no need for a guided visit to our village. We give you a map, a few indications and we´re sure you can do it yourself. The village stands just 3 kilometers from the Estancia, and our guests usually go biking (in our bikes) or walking, both are a wonderful exercise. Besides, our small town is really very picturesque (it´s the oldest village in the entire Buenos Aires State), and of course we encourage our guests to take a visit. You can absorb much of the culture of the area there. * GUIDED VISIT TO THE VILLAGE OF SAN ANTONIO DE ARECO (half a day) Usually, after lunch at our estancia, El Cencerro, we take you by car through the countryside. It´s an impressive scenery of the Pampa's (40 kms.) doing a very picturesque roundtrip (in our way we stop to visit the oldest pulperia (sort of a pub) of the whole Buenos Aires State.
